    so what about brown or whole meal bread? coz i was always under the assumption that it was better for you that white, or is it just a myth? i eat 2 slices a day so it not really in excess or am i total wrong and ill-informed?

    youre young; as you get older, itll become easier to gain muscle for you, then you will be able to replace the belly fat with muscle more easily. if you dont have much fat, but you have belly fat, then this is just where your body chooses to put fat first. probably doesnt have much to do with eating rice in your case. but dont be too self conscious about your appearance so young; a lot of kids your age see themselves in ways others do not. i know i did when i was in highschool.

    @Pelonetillo i have a question… Im 15 years old and i work up at least 4 days a week, mostly wrestling muay thai or weight lift. I’m 119 lbs and I have 11% percent body fat but i still have a some belly fat!! Its not much but i wanna get rid of it. I think the main reason is becuz my meals are full of rice, I eat A LOT of rice since im hispanic and im use to that and i dont eat small protions per meal lol. But yeah i DONT eat junk food much or at all i excercise a lot so im like WTF?!?!?!

    if you really want to gain weight, i suggest you look into a sumo wrestler diet. they make use of good knowledge to maintain their weights. if you change your approach and still cant gain, you may want to get checked out by a doctor, see if maybe theres some hormone/gland issue goin on with you.

    if youre eating few carbs your body cant store much fat. this is why the atkins diet works–it is a high fat (not high protein, as many believe), low/no carb diet. if you are trying to gain weight, keep eating fat, but also get lots of carbs. carbs make your body produce insulin, which regulates fat retention in your fat cells. insulin is what doctors give anorexics to make them gain weight; carbs make your body produce it. simple carbs are from processed foods, these are best for weight gain.

    well, if you grind up the grain into whole grain flour, it’s not gonna sprout. But, you’re right there is a lot of whole wheat breads and such out there that are full of enriched flour with just enough germ in there to make it look whole grainish but still taste like white bread.

    Yeah the reason I ask, is I eat more food than anyone I know, mostly tons of fat
    I eat bacon every day, farm fresh eggs, lots of cheese based foods (in Wisconsin, food capitol of the US) plenty of sausage, meat whenever possible. I just worked in a restaurant for 2 years and ate pastries all day. If you look at me today, I’m incredibly thin, so thin that I got a hernia before I gained a pound. I never eat processed sugar though.

    This man knows of what he speaks, when wheat is processed, the minerals or proteins are removed, so we should avoid wheat, Irish moss is a great sea weed that nourishes the body in a complete way it has 92 minerals in it, when the body is nourished and alkalined and filled with minerals no disease can live in it. this man has so mush knowledge to pass on , take his advice on health and food.
